Website Development Plan

This website is in the middle of a long-awaited upgrade:

• Stage 1 - Information brought up to date; ensuring all pages comply with accessibilty guidelines; utilising cascading style sheets; ensuring navigation not only works with the latest browsers and is accessible for those utilising screen readers but also that it degrades gently with older browsers; speeding up page loading times. Completed
• Stage 2 - Ensuring all forms have a website equivalent and that there is access to versions that can be completed online (where appropriate), printed and either faxed or sent by "snail" mail. Under development
• Stage 3 - Moving the site to a new host to facilitate improved facilities. Completed
• Stage 4 - Providing a "members-only" section with password protection. Completed
• Extra - We have added a new facility to all pages involving the use of venues - you can now view venues on an aerial photograph as well as a map. We hope this will help people travelling to a venue for the first time. Completed
• Stage 5 - A message board for people looking for lifts or offering lifts. Forum completed
• Stage 6 - Providing an online password-protected members' directory. Inclusion will depend on members completing a form on the site so if you do not want to be included, you will not be.
• Stage 7 - Providing an online photo gallery with downloadable order forms.
• Stage 8 - Arranging affiliate links to one or more suppliers where dance orientated items may be ordered, earning a small commission for The Company.
